![]() Tuesday evening, June 8, about fifty members of the Humbird high school alumni association met at the high school for the thirty-first annual banquet. School: Humbird High School Alumni Banquet (1937) The banquet was served by the Ladies Aid Society and was an appetizing repast. The attendance was large, the interest was good and every detail to make a pleasant evening had been adequately anticipated. In 1935 bouquets will go into the records as one of the most successful in the history of the association. Impromptu music was provided and those who were so inclined enjoyed the remainder of the evening in dancing. This program was concluded with the class of 1935 standing while the class poem was recited. Each of these numbers was well prepared and well received. Principal Herman LeCaptain introduced the various accompanied by delightful anecdotes pertaining to each student.įollowing the toasts the members adjourned to the lodge hall where a most entertaining program of reading, musical numbers and novelty stunts was carried out under the direction of the program committee. A silent toast to the departed members was drunk which is a most fitting tribute to the memories of these beloved graduates. The twenty-ninth alumni banquet of the high school alumni association held at the Odd Fellows Tuesday evening provided a most enjoyable evening for both the old and young graduates of the local school.
